Dr. Maherin Momin’s roots are in Houston, Texas, where she grew up with a deep sense of community. After heading to the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree, Dr. Momin’s path to dentistry started to take shape in meaningful ways. She volunteered at the Healthcare for Homeless shelter in Houston, where she gained firsthand experience in the importance of compassionate healthcare. Her journey also led her to South America on a global medical trip, offering free dental services to those in need. It was there, in those moments of service, that Dr. Momin realized dentistry was the field where she could truly make a difference.
Now back in Houston, Dr. Momin has become a trusted provider of comprehensive dental care for patients of all ages. From newborns to seniors, Dr. Momin is proud to treat families across generations. One thing that sets her apart is her ability to work with patients of all ages comfortably, without any restrictions. She’s passionate about making dental visits a positive experience for everyone in the family, no matter their age.
Beyond general dentistry, Dr. Momin has also earned her certification as a Botox-qualified provider in Houston, adding another layer to the care she can offer her patients.
When she’s not caring for her patients, Dr. Momin lives a full and active life. She’s been happily married to her childhood friend for over a decade, a relationship that’s as enduring as her passion for dentistry. Outside of work, you’ll find Dr. Momin at the gym, playing tennis, or hiking with friends and family. Traveling is one of her favorite hobbies, and she loves seeking out new, adventurous sports to try during her trips.
One of Dr. Momin’s long-held dreams was to open her own dental practice, where she could provide personalized, high-quality care to patients. Today, that dream is a reality at Safari Family Dental & Orthodontics.
